History

The Story of Country Mill Cabinet Company

Our grandfather, John Miller, took an interest in woodworking many years ago while employed with International Harvester.
In 1949 he eventually left Harvester and started his own cabinetry business in Whitley County. Years later, our father Robert Green met and married John’s daughter Dianne.
During college, Dad worked summers at the cabinet shop and then after graduating college, he decided to continue on there as he enjoyed the business and the customers to a great deal.
In 1972, our grandfather, John, died very unexpectedly and dad continued on in the cabinet business for another 12 years.
He eventually sold the business and began many other business ventures that he enjoyed, but his love for cabinetry remained and that is what has brought us to where we are today.
Dad started building custom cabinetry again in his garage in 1980, much like grandpa Miller, and his son Richard joined him at that time.
It has grown over the years and his daughter Anita, and son-in-law Scot are now very active in the business.
The grandchildren are even coming along with us too! You can truly call Country Mill Cabinet Company a family business!
We’ve now been manufacturing custom cabinetry for home builders, friends, neighbors, and family for over 34 years and we’re still going strong.
We’re excited to continue his wonderful craft and rich history along with our skilled employees, who are dedicated to quality as much as we are.
